Give & Receive This Holiday Season

We’re excited to announce our new partnership with Here & Always, a mission-driven Latino-founded marketplace featuring handcrafted gifts by independent artisans.

Each candle in this collaboration is hand-poured in East Los Angeles by Ely Valdivia of Earthy Corazon, a proud queer Latina-owned artisan business. The Purpose Candle Collection features a trio of scents. Juniper Jade has cypress and cucumber notes, Mezcal Moon features orange blossom and vanilla, and Chamomile Canyon is scented with sage and palo santo. Each is crafted with clean-burning coconut wax and infused with scents meant to evoke a sense of belonging.

This holiday season, your generosity creates a double ripple of impact, uplifting foster youth and underserved young people through Make Good, while also supporting beloved local makers in our community.

This is the season for connection and for the youth we serve, and for the people who make that impact possible.

Juniper Jade Candle

Juniper dances sharp and green, cutting through the air like clarity itself. Cypress follows, rooted and steady, holding the horizon. Cucumber glistens like fresh rain, cooling and new. Together they clear the path, leaving the world rinsed and ready. This is the scent of what comes after: the storm passes, and you step into what is next.

Mezcal Moon Candle

Mezcal laughs at midnight, smoky and unafraid. Orange blossom lingers at the doorway, softening the edges with its glow. Vanilla settles in close, warm as memory and steady as a friend who never leaves. Together they gather the table, full and alive. This is the scent of Sunday, a toast to where we have been and where we are going.

Chamomile Canyon Candle

Chamomile whispers calm into the air, gentle yet unyielding. Desert sage stands tall with the dry heat and clarity of open skies. Palo santo smolders slowly, a grounding flame that asks only for presence. Together they hold a canyon wide enough for breath, rest, and return. This is the scent of pause: for slowing down, starting over, or simply being.

Make Good is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to building a more equitable future in Los Angeles.

Through our signature programs, The Book Foundation and The TAY Shop, we deliver immediate, meaningful support to vulnerable and underserved youth, ensuring they have the resources, community, and care they need to thrive.

The mission of The Book Foundation is to close the achievement gap and promote literacy by placing new books into the hands and homes of low-income and underserved children.

The TAY Shop is a retail environment where system involved and transitional aged foster youth are able to shop for casual and career clothing and basic essentials free of charge.

Make Good is located at The Emporium: Foster Resource & Literacy Center in Mid-city Los Angeles. The Emporium is a hub for mission-aligned non-profits and programs to share resources and increase positive outcomes for foster and vulnerable children and youth.
